Akers Way, Swindon involved full reconstruction and widening of the existing highway, installation of signal controls, pelican crossings, improved drainage and the addition of cycle paths and new bus stops. The works were situated on a busy school entrance junction which was the schools only means of access, good pedestrian and traffic management was key importance on this project.
