We have undertaken various projects at this Hospital, having worked closely with the Trust staff and management. Due to our excellent delivery of our first initial project at the site, we were re-awarded several further projects and continue to provide them with support.

A & E refurbishment and providing mobile accommodation named The Horizon for their Mental Health Unit.

Brief Scope

This project was completed in 6 phases as it had to be carefully undertaken and managed in a live environment. Works consisted of refurbishing and fitting out of the main accident and emergency unit including reception, kitchen, toilets, breastfeeding and security room. We carried out fire safety modifications, installation of tannoy and nursing call system, security and access control, BMS controls, mechanical and electrical systems, new AHUs and chillers, examination lighting, emergency lighting, bedhead trunking, medical gases, installation of new partitions and suspended ceilings, above ground drainage, whiteroc cladding, IPS and sanitaryware, FF&E and decoration.

The project entailed building fabric, mechanical and electrical works to the following areas:

Offices, entrance, reception and lobby areas, clinical showrooms, nurses’ station, play area, sterile stores, seminar, treatment and exam rooms, kitchen and rest room, CAMHS and Triage.

Emergency Day-care Assessment Unit - EDAU Refurbshment

Brief Scope

Works entailed medical gas installation, emergency lighting, modifications to the fire alarm system, installation of access control, nurse call system, and CCTV.

Mechanical works included the installation of fire and smoke dampers, heating and chilled water system, VRF and refrigerants.

Building fabric strip out included removing and reinstating the suspended ceilings in various rooms, joinery, flooring, installing hygienic wall cladding systems, FF&E, installation of IPS and sanitaryware.

Strip out and enabling works in the examination rooms, waiting area, toilets, offices and patient areas. Works were inclusive of building fabric, mechanical and electrical services including BMS, anti-ligature tracks, joinery and decoration.

This was a 6-week project that consisted of alterations to the Admin area including demolition of partitions and the removal of all existing sanitaryware, sink basins within the dirty and clean utility rooms and plaster room. Strip out of all mechanical and electrical services and the supply of new. The provision of above ground drainage and decorations including feature walls and installation of clinical worktops.

Xray Imaging Suites

Brief Scope

This project was undertaken in a general occupied hospital and we had to ensure that access was maintained for the hospital at all times and that upon completion of works each working day, that the adjacent areas were fully accessible, clean and fully operational.

Works included the strip out and removal of the existing areas and repurposing the Xray facilities entailing, demolition, new partitions, installation of new Medicare suspended ceilings, LED luminaires, smoke detection and fire stopping, new joinery and flooring, decoration and new fitted furniture as well as mechanical and electrical services.
