180 - 182 Shoreditch Grade 11 Listed
Conversion of the former Natwest Bank into Luxury Apartments
Value: £800k
BREIF SCOPE
Shoreditch has emerged as the new Mayfair in London, and we were excited to collaborate with Gardiner & Theobold on the transformation of the Grade II listed former Natwest Bank building into a collection of 1, 2, and 3 bedroom, apartments spread over three floors. Each apartment featured an ensuite kitchen, bathroom, reception area, and hallway.
The project, spanning 20 weeks, included comprehensive interior design work with Studio Jill, alongside the complete construction and decoration of all living spaces. The design, which was approved by the client, embraced a monochrome palette infused with a blend of modern and traditional elegance, reflected in the choice of materials.
Additional enhancements comprised decorative plaster finishes for walls and ceilings, along with detailed woodwork, doors, skirtings, windows, and picture rails. New timber parquet and herringbone flooring were laid in the hallways and entrances, complemented by fully tiled bathroom walls and underfloor heating systems.
The bathrooms featured Coalbrook and Watermark collection sanitaryware, paired with exquisite stone vanity tops and glass shower screens. A custom kitchen was designed and installed, complete with necessary white goods.
The mechanical and electrical scope included the installation of various feature lighting throughout the apartments, new power systems, kitchen extract fans, and updated hot and cold-water connections, ensuring all apartment suites were fully equipped with modern electrical services.
